Ryan

Ryan is pretty much obsessed with lead climbing, doing routes above his ability, and gears. When not climbing, you may spot him rummaging through climbing gear shops for new gears he does not need (he often protests this is untrue).
Join him for an endless conversation on gear, lead climbing belaying tricks, or simply long belay sessions where you may fall asleep while he tries that same move he definitely cannot do.

Xing Xia (XX)
Xingxia (a.k.a XX) started out doing leisure climbs with her friends in 2010 and never looked back! She enjoys climbing in indoor gyms and on natural rocks outdoor.
One of her happiest moments was when she competed in an Endurance climbing challenge and completed more than 60 climbing walls in a day (painful forearms and fingers aside).
When Xingxia is not climbing, she cycles around for food hunts and hones her craft skills in polymer clay kneading. Xingxia feels very lucky to have found her love for climbing and she is excited to share her passion for climbing with anyone looking to kickstart their climbing journey! Most importantly have fun in a safe manner!
Instructor
Kamarulzaman (Kamal)
SSCMF Category 1 License no. 9210
IRATA Level 1
Conducts the following courses
- Sport Climbing Levels 1/2
Kamal got into climbing because of a one-for-one climbing gym entry promotion and was hooked to the sport the moment he hooked the auto-belay carabiner to his rental harness.
He likes to pretend he loves lead climbing yet is still terribly terrified of taking whippers. Big jugs and pinches excite him. However, he has a personal vendetta against slopers and dual-textured holds.
When not climbing, you can find him either tinkering with his Brompton or grading his students’ assignments.
